1956 - 2013 I have included that much information about all the vehicles and plant that I have owned and operated from 1956 to 2013 I really don't think there is much more that would be of any interest to anyone else, or any point it writing anymore. Even to this day when I lift something with a loader, I remember Dad dragging a huge blue gum strainer post to the edge of a post hole with the horse, then in much the same manner as the P&T (post & telegraph) and Power Boards stood up poles, one end was levered and maneuvered into a short trench. Then using OLD BALDY Dad would pull this thing that had been cut with a hand saw upright in the hole. SHIT! when our kids were kids we could not go to town without topping the 20 year old car, that looked its age up with oil before heading home. Today I have a over 20 year old car that to me anyway, looked bloody near brand new when we bought it in 2004, but still never check the oil between changes. Although to be fair, when we were at Kaingaroa Forest I remember doing the sums after buying the TOYOTA HILUX SURF, that to me anyway looked and still does as if it was near brand new, and while it went a considerable greater distance on a gallon of petrol, than say the old 1936 V8 had. Never the less, because the stuff was no longer about a shilling (10 cents) a gallon it cost more in money to go the same distance and if that's progress it seems to me to be arse about face as are most things these days. While some of the trials and tribulations of going anywhere in those days are covered in this book, so are others in the BOB BOOKS.
